HOFFMAN, Leo W. of Naples, Florida
Formerly of Allegan
Passed away Thursday afternoon, August 8, 1991 in Florida. Mr. Hoffman was the son of the Honorable Clare and Florence Hoffman. He was a resident of Allegan most of his life. He graduated in 1923 from Culver Military Academy, then the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School in 1928, where he played on the varsity football team. Mr. Hoffman practiced law from 1928 to 1988, interrupted from 1942 to 1945 while serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Allegan County Bar Association, The American College of Trial Lawyers, U of M Alumni Association, the M Club, Culver Legion, Elks Lodge, Ot-Well-Egan Country Club, and a member of the First Congregational Church of Allegan.
Surviving are his wife Onalee W. Hoffman; two sons, John of Kalamazoo, David of Newberry, MI; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Allegan and will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church or the American Heart Association.
