Mr. Brubaker was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg. He was a member of VFW Post No. 3, Altoona; and the Hollidaysburg American Legion.
Mr. Brubaker was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
He retired in 1979 as a crane operator from Conrail with 37 years of service.
Surviving are his wife; a son, John E. Brubaker of Altoona; a daughter, Karen S. Carp of Altoona; two stepsons: William Kuny and Ronald Kuny, both of Altoona; two stepdaughters: Linda O'Shell of Altoona and Janice Stakley of Detroit, Mich.; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold W. of Altoona and James E. of Weedville; and four sisters: Virginia Wilt, Louise Williams and Rhoda Brubaker, all of Altoona, and Thelma McGinnis of Centre Hall.
He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, a great-grandson, a brother and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Gilden Barton Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Tiffany M. Freeman.
Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Parkinson's Foundation, c/o Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.
