Cinderella May Peterson was born in Newport, what is now Lawshe, Ohio, on October 13, 1867, and passed away very suddenly on the evening of January 26, 1938. She was at the time of her passing just three and one half months past seventy years of age.
At the early age of sixteen years, she became a confessed follower of our Lord and Saviour and was baptized into the likeness of His death, burial and resurrection. She has been a faithful member of the Fairfield Christian Church along with her husband throughout their long residence in that community.
On April 11, 1889, she was married to Mr. J. W. Nixon. They moved from the Ohio home to Fairfield, Nebr., on Dec. 5th, 1905, where they have since resided.
The immediate family who mourn the passing of a wife and mother are: her husband, Mr. J. W. Nixon, Fairfield, Nebr.; one daughter, Mrs. Zelma Glass, Lebanon, Mo.; and three sons Emerson and Gilbert, Omaha, Nebr.; and Raymond, Lincoln, Nebr.; and six grandchildren. Besides these, there are innumerable relatives, neighbors, and friends who bow together in their grief over the sudden passing of one they loved so dearly.
Funeral services were held at the Nixon home at 1:30 pm Saturday and at 2:30 pm at the Fairfield Christian church. Interment was made in the Fairfield cemetery.
