" The entire community was shocked Thursday, March 4, 1909 at 2:30 p.m. when the news was heralded abroad that Mrs. Charles Klingler of near Turkey City after a short illness had suddenly passed to the great beyond. Mrs. Klingler was the mother of 11 children, the youngest being at the time of her death but three weeks of age. Her age was 41 years, 3 months and 14 days. Why she should be taken away when so much needed we cannot tell; we can only submit to the guiding hand of a divine Providence and say, Thy will Lord, be done. The family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.S. Nicholson of Monroe, Pa. and the interment made in the Monroe cemetery."
