John Kent, Gladstone Resident, Succumbs, Final Rites Friday

"John Kent, 80, resident of Gladstone and vicinity for the past 50 years, died at his Gladstone home Tuesday evening. He was a carpenter by trade, member of the Oregon City Knights of Pythias Lodge and the Christian Church of Gladstone. Mr. Kent was born in Iowa on September 28, 1859.
Surviving are the widow, Ida; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Steiner of Oswego; two brothers, Budd and Bert of Monitor; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rall and Mrs. Alice Dummphy of Monitor; four grandchildren, Allen Rall and Crystal R. Blair of Kansas, Harold and Vernon Steiner of Oswego, and one great-grandchild, Bobby Blair.
Funeral services will be held at the Holman & Hankins Chapel Friday afternoon at 1:30, with internment in Mountain View Cemetery."
