Robert Lee Kent was born on 11 July 1869 in Solano County, California to Sylvester Bond "S.B." Kent and Mary Hannah Price. He was the fifth child of ten that was born to them and was known to go by his middle name of Lee.


Lee spent the first ten years of his life living in California before migrating with his family to Oregon and settling in Clackamas County. This is where he spent the remainder of his short life. To the best of our knowledge (and family records), Lee was never married and had no children.


On 11 February 1895, Lee passed away and was buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery in Canby, OR with other Kent relatives.

KENT--- At the home of his parents on Elliott Prairie, Clackamas County, Oregon, February 11, 1895, Robert Lee Kent, aged 25 years, 7 months & 8 days.


He was born in Solano County, California, July 11, 1869 and at the age of 9 years he moved with his parents to Oregon, where he lived until his death called him from an earthly labor to everlasting reward. He leaves a father, mother, three sisters, three brothers and a host of friends to morn the loss of a dutiful son, a kind and loving brother and a faithful friend.


The remains were followed to their last resting place at the Rock Creek cemetery by a large concourse of friends. Rev. Edmunds, of Woodburn, conducted the funeral services. The community joins in tendering its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
