Alva Lafferty was a direct descendant of Mayflower 1620 pilgrims, Stephen Hopkins, Giles Hopkins, Thomas Rogers, and Joseph Rogers thru his mother, Sybil T. Horton Lafferty. He may also be a descendant of pilgrim Henry Sampson. This has all been proven thru Mayflower Society, Plymouth, Mass. The photo on memorial is Alva Lafferty and his sister, Anna Grace Lafferty Prowell. Alva & Erna Lafferty were the parents of Velma (Duckie), Norma Lee, William (Billy), and LaWanda (Sissy) Lafferty.
