Ruby Faye (Lafferty) Kater Rupp 5/31/1908-5/21/1996.

Ruby Faye Lafferty Kater was a descendant of Mayflower Pilgrims Thomas Rogers, Stephen Hopkins, and possibly Henry Sampson thru her mother, Sybil Horton Lafferty. Faye and Bill Kater had no descendants. Bill & Faye Kater lived on Willow Rd in Newton, Ks for many years next to her sister and husband, Berneice and Sam Kater. She & her husband, Bill Kater, worked for the Santa Fe Railroad.

Faye and her husband Bill had a child who died at birth. They could have no other children, but favored their nephews and nieces as their own. "Faye" was known for her strawberry-rhubarb pie and needlepoint. She remarried late in life, and was a breast cancer survivor.
