Selvia Connor Lafferty was a Mayflower Descendant thru her mother, Sybil T. Horton Lafferty. She was a descendant of 1620 Mayflower Passengers Thomas Rogers, Joseph Rogers, Stephen Hopkins, and Giles Hopkins. Her mother and twin sister are buried in Lincoln Cemetery, Lebo, Kansas.

Her twin sister, Sylvia Edythe Connor Norton. Her father was John Connors.

Selvia Lafferty, 85
Selvia E. Lafferty, 85, died Saturday in Eureka. She was born Feb. 10, 1892 in Lebo, Kansas. She married Oscar Lafferty, Feb. 17, 1913, in Lebo. The couple had lived in Utah and Idaho and had resided in Hopewell, Oregon, for eight years before coming to Eureka in 1958. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Oscar, Eureka; one son Olen, Layton, Utah; one daughter, Mary Pershall, Eureka; one twin sister, Sylvia Norton, Wichita, Kan; two half sisters, Bernice Kater and Faye Kater both of Newton, Kansas; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Eureka, with Rev. James Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Tobacco Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Vial Funeral Home.
