Born in Alabama to Frances Marien Douglas and Anna Huston Douglas, moved with her husband, Willis Gandy to Tampa area in early 1920's then moved to Kinard, FL with her husband and 8 children Wilma, Margaret, Lillian, Douglas, Willa Ray, Wallace Clifton, Hilda Mae, Marion. It was there that they operated a small grocery store. It was in Kinard that Agnes died leaving behind 8 small children. She is buried at Southport Community Cemetery, Bay County, Florida.
