Macy Louise Humphries, 91, of 1505 Boiling Springs Hwy., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at her residence.
A native of Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late John Palmer Humphries and Jemima McCraw Humphries. She was a retired seamstress with Oxford Industries and was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Delbert Humphries and his wife, Betty George Humphries, of Gaffney; a sister, Wilma Humphries of the home; two nephews, Wesley Humphries of Louisville, Ky., and Todd Humphries of Gaffney; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Roger Aycock and Dr. Bobby Morrow. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:30-4 p.m. in the church chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C., 29342.
Family members will be at their respective homes.
