MRS. J. M. McMICKELL

Mrs. Minnie McMickell was born in Doniphan county, Kansas, April 22, 1870, and passed away at the Allen Memorial hospital in Eldorado, Kansas, early Monday morning, April 9, 1945, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 17 days.

She came to Saline county in 1898, with her husband, J. M. McMickell, where they lived on a farm northwest of Marquette until his death in 1938, then she moved to Eldorado to make her home with her daughter Miss Eula McMickell.

Mrs. McMickell spent her entire life in Kansas. She was a charter member of the Dry Creek Baptist church north of Marquette and retained her membership in this church until her death.

She is survived by six children three sons and three daughters, Jesse M. McMickell of Salina; J. I. McMickell of Eldorado; Onbey McMickell of Campo, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth Dale Duncan of Avondale, Colo.; Mrs. Eleanor O'Dell of Alamosa, Colo.; and Miss Eula McMickell of Eldorado. One son Frank M. died in infancy. In the family circle there are twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services, in charge of Rev. Ozie Pruitt, pastor of the Baptist church in Eldorado, were held at 10:00 o'clock in ElDorado and at 3:00 o'clock in the Methodist church in Marquette, Kansas, this Wednesday, April 11th, and interment was made in the family lot in the Marquette Cemetery.
