MRS. WALTER SELBY DIES AT HOME HERE

Mrs. Valerie Pearl Selby, 68, widow of Walter W. Selby, died unexpectedly at 6 o'clock this morning at her home, 1009 Parallel, where she had conducted a nursing home for several years. She had been in failing health several months.

She was born at Ness City Dec. 14, 1888, a daughter of Towell Onbey and Martha Jane Clem Roberts, and was married to Walter William Selby at Beatrice, Neb., Aug. 24, 1910. They resided at Seneca and at Virginia, Neb., before coming to Atchison many years ago. She was a member of Sacred Heart church.

Surviving are a son, William R. Selby, Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; a sister, Miss Maude Roberts, Atchison, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are pending. The body is at the Stanton mortuary.
