Dixmont (Maine) – Mrs. Lovina Jane Tees, 87, died at a Pittsfield Nursing Home Saturday afternoon, September 12, 1966, following a long illness. She was born in Easton, Maine, January 24, 1879, the daughter of James B. and Laura A. (Luce) Erskine. Lovina attended Easton schools.

She married Alexander W. Tees on April 27, 1899. The couple resided in Presque Isle until 1911 when they came to Plymouth. They came to Dixmont in 1930. She had operated a boarding home until her retirement in 1962. Her husband died in 1963.

A member of the Plymouth Methodist Church, Mrs. Tees was a past officer of Plymouth Grange.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Helen Easler of Penacook, NH.; three half-brothers, William of Dixmont, Elton of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Amos Erskine of Camden, Maine; two half-sisters, Mrs. Gladys Lamb of St. Petersburg and Mrs. Eva Coffey of Presque Isle; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10 am at the Dixmont Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernest Smith officiating. Burial will be in the North Dixmont Cemetery.
