Katharina "Kate" Weiler was one of 11 children born to Peter Weiler and Maria Berg of Niedermendig, Kreis Mayen, near Koblenz. She was married to Johann Lorenz "Hans" Moll. They lived in Koln, Germany, where they ran a hair dressing salon for both women and men. Kate had one daughter, Elfriede Weiler, who was married to Wilhelm Peter Gemein, a German soldier who died on the Russian front in WWII. Elfriede and her husband gave Kate one grandson - Karl-Heinz. Kate was predeceased by her husband and daughter, as well as her sister Elisabeth (Weiler) Schulte, and brothers Wilhelm Friedrich, August, and Friedrich, and 4 other infant siblings. She was survived by her grandson, and her sister Anna Maria (Weiler) Aust and brother Jean Weiler. She was also survived by her nieces Rosa Maria (Aust) Losee and Ilse (Weiler) Watrelot. She was buried in the cemetery on Frankfurter Strasse in Koln-Hohenberg.
