Rebecca Ousley-Tackett, 83, Winona Lake, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at her residence.
She was born on August 1, 1925 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Layne and Sally (Blackburn) Compton. On May 12, 2001, she married Hubert Tackett, and he survives.
Rebecca was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1946.
She worked at Whitley products, Pierceton, for 38 years as a DeBurer.
Rebecca was a member of Northern Little Dove Regular Baptist Church, Pierceton.
Aside from her husband, she is survived by one son, Junior [Elmer] Ousley and wife Linda, Pierceton; one sister, Maudie Peters, Munich, Michigan; two brothers, Bill Compton, Spurlock, Kentucky, and Layne Compton and wife Bessie, Spurlock; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter [Wanda]; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday, as well as a 10 a.m. on Saturday at Northern Little Dove Regular Baptist Church, Pierceton, with Regular Baptist Ministers Mose Griffey and Russell Hicks officiating.
Burial will be a Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton.
A continuous visitation will run at the church from 10 a.m. on Friday to 10 a.m. on Saturday.
