Obituary: "Susanna, wife of Alex. Flemming, died at their home in Garrison, Monday evening, after a long and painful illness, aged 66 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Carnahan creek church, and interment had in the church cemetery. Mrs. Flemming was one of the pioneer women of that section, and well and favorably known by all. She was the daughter of John Carnahan, of Pennsylvania, and mother of Mrs. Chas. Currie. Rest in peace."
