SISTER M. MATHILDA VANDEVEN

Sister M. Mathilda, formerly of Leopold, Mo. and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Vandeven, passed away January 7, 1939 at the Villa Gesu Rest Home in St. Louis, following an illness of ten months. She was born February 11, 1884, and entered the Notre Dame order on August 15, 1907. Funeral services were held at the Convent Chapel, on January 10, and burial was in the Villa Gesu Cemetery. Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death several years ago. She is survived by two brothers, Jake of St. Louis, George of Leopold and three sisters: Mrs. Lucy Elfrink of Leopold; Sister Martinilla of the Notre Dame order in St. Louis and Mrs. Dina Lorson of Staunton, Ill.

Those from Leopold attending the funeral were: Mr. And Mrs. G. VanDeven and sons, Herman and Bernard and Mrs. And Mrs. J. J. Elfrink.
