John Sherry was the son of Heinrich (Henry Sr) Sherry and Dorothea Shaffer Sherry.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN SHERRY
Be it remembered, that I, John Sherry, farmer, of Ringold Township, Jefferson County, and State of Pennsylvania, Being of sound and Disposing mind and memory thinking of the uncertainty of this frail and transitory Life do therefore hereby publish, ordain and declare this to be my last will and testament to wit:

First, I will that all my lawful debts and funeral expense s shall be paid by my Executors. Second: My wife Sarah Ann shall live in and occupy the house in which we now live during her lifetime and my son Daniel F. Sherry shall keep two cows and two hogs and two head of sheep and further give her the one fourth bushel of all the grain he raises on the farm we now occupy during her lifetime to be divided by the bushel and she shall keep all the house and kitchen furniture that we now have and my son Daniel F. Sherry shall take her to church and he shall also provide medical aid for her if needed and attend to her sickness. And I will give unto my son, Daniel F. Sherry my farm lying and situated in Ringold Township the farm I am now occupying and I will and give my farm lying in Redbank Township, Armstrong County unto my daughter Mary Ann Powell the farm she now occupies. The farm which I willed unto my son Daniel F. Sherry is more valuable than the farm which I willed unto my daughter Mary Ann Powell but after my decease my Executor is herein after named shall agree on the difference of the value of said farms and my son Daniel F. Sherry shall pay unto my daughter Mary Ann Powell the said balance between each farms after deducting a reasonable compensation for attending to myself and my wife Sarah Ann during sickness and all my notes, monies, rights and credits which I now have or may have at the time of my decease shall be equally divided between my son Daniel F. Sherry and my daughter Mary Ann Powell shares alike and also my interest I have in the farm lying in Redbank Township, Armstrong County, known as the Phillip Haupt farm shall also be equally divided among my son Daniel F. Sherry and my daughter Mary Ann Powell and also all my personal property shall be divided equally among them And I do hereby Constitute and appoint my son Daniel Sherry and my daughter Mary Ann Powell to be Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of July AD 1888.
