14 Aug 1953: Noah Kembel, 89, a retired Bethlehem Steel Company blacksmith and a charter member of the Hebron Hose Company, died last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lester White, 127 S. 4th Avenue, with whom he resided. Kembel had been bedfast for the past year and death was attributed to complications in his illness. He was a member of the Hebron UB Church and Sunday school and also belonged to the Stale Firemen's Association. He was a blacksmith until his retirement 25 years ago. A native of Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Levi and Mary (Henninger) Campbell. Surviving are two daughters, Mayonna, with whom he resided, and Mrs. Amy Gambler, Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]
