Services for Casper McLemore will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Duvall and Dwight Faulkenbery officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. McLemore, 81, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and a long time resident of the Springhill community. He was retired Civil Service from the Naval Air Station in Meridian. He served in the Merchant Marines in the 50's and 60's. Mr. McLemore was Baptist by faith. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of AARP. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bobbie McLemore of Philadelphia; daughter, Caretha Boyd of Philadelphia; sons, Casper K. McLemore, Jr. of Meridian and Perry McLemore of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Palmer of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today, April 21, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and a long time resident of the Springhill community. He was retired Civil Service from the Naval Air Station in Meridian. He served in the Merchant Marines in the 50s and 60s. Mr. McLemore was Baptist by faith. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of AARP.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bobbie McLemore of Philadelphia; daughter, Caretha Boyd of Philadelphia; sons, Casper K. McLemore, Jr. of Meridian and Perry McLemore of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Palmer of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lavell Malone, Billy Malone, Adam Stribling, Ricky Robertson, Jack Keen and Otis Boyd.
