Gustave Marquardt, Port Hope Pioneer Dead
Port Hope, Sept 24- Funeral services for Gustave Marquardt, aged 80, pioneer resident of Huron county, who died at the home of his son, Otto in Huron Township, Sept 15, were held from the Reformed Lutheran Church, this village, Thursday, Sept 17, Rev J Soell officiating. Burial was in the Marquardt Cemetery.
Mr Marquardt came to Huron County more than 50 years ago. For many years he has lived in Huron Township. Besides his son, Otto he is survived by two other sons, Ewald of Huron Township and Gust. of Monroe. He leaves a daughter Mrs Alex Lawitzke of this community and a daughter in Monroe.
