Otto H. Marquardt 90 Port Hope died Sunday September 12 in the Sunny Acres Nursing Center Bad Axe. He was born May 4,1884 in Port Hope. He and Ella Lawitzke were married December 26, 1907. Mrs. Marquardt preceded her husband in death in February of 1973. Mr. Marquardt was a member of the United Church of Christ in Port Hope and a life member of the Port Hope Masonic Lodge No 138.Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Floyd (Dena) Kemp, Harbor Beach; one sister Mrs. Lawitzke of Masonic Home in Alma two grandchildren and two Great grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday in the Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor Beach. The Rev. James Srewart pastor of the first Presbyterian Church, Harbor Beach officiated with burial in the Marquardt Cemetery, Port Hope. Masonic memorial services were conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
