Miss Mattie Wormelduff, 87, a first-grade teacher at Reagan Elementary School for 27 years, died at her home in Temple Monday morning following an illness of six months.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hewett Funeral Home. Rev. J. L. Davenport will officiate and burial will be in the Pendleton Cemetery.
Miss Wormelduff was born in Scottsburg, KY and came to Texas with her parents in 1877. She had lived in Temple since 1920 and was a member of the 7th Street Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Denny Neal and Mrs. Veston Rogers of Temple and Mrs. E. C. Cass of Haskell; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Earl Neal, Molton Allen, Emzy Nichols, Jack Wyatt, Bernard Allen, Clarence Crawford, Kyce King and Bernard Neal.
