W. H. Wormelduff, age 70, one of the best known and oldest settlers of Bell county, died at his home at Troy yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. He had been ill with a stroke of paralysis for about a week.
Mr. Wormelduff was a native of Kentucky and came to Bell county more than forty years ago, settling near Troy. He was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of the county. He is survived by his wife and six daughters, Misses Mattie and Maude, and Mesdames Denny Neal of Pendleton, Grover Burns of Pendleton, Veston Rogers of Temple, and E. C. Cass of Haskell. He leaves two granddaughters, Misses Sylvia and Lexia, who made their home with him.
The funeral will be held at the family residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The burial will be at the Pendleton Cemetery immediately afterward.
