I am not sure if R.L. was born in Atlanta,GA or Easley, SC His parents Cora and John moved back and forth several times.
R.L. is the son of John and Cora Gillespie. brother of Lois, Geneva and Gladys. He was married to Lillian. After Lillian died he re-married but I am not sure of her name. I know about 4 years ago she was still living and in Gastonia,NC. They lived in Gastonia N.C. at the time of his death.
I never remember meeting them. I heard from family members that Lillian was a wonderful cook. After her death he remarried. I don't have wife # 2 at this time.
