Angeline was the daughter of Benjamin (?Jim) Roberts 1800 – 1859 and Frances "Fanny" Louellander ( Lavender) SEARCY 1805 – 1859. Her parents died in 1859. The three youngest children, Jane, Angeline, and Monroe lived with her sister Frances who was married to J.A Cockrell in 1860. When J.A. was killed in the war Frances married in 1866 to John Pierson Ponder 1847 -1921. Angeline married John P. Ponder's first cousin William Farrar Ponder "Billy" in 1866. Both couples lived in Covington Co, Mississippi. Billy and Angeline moved to Marion Co, Mississippi by 1870 where most of their family was born. They moved to San Augustine Co, Texas before 1885.
They bought land in Bland Lake and settled there to raise their family.
