Norfolk-Helen Lawson Cherry, 88, of the 100 block of E. Randall Ave., died Aug. 24, 1991, in a hospital.
Mrs. Cherry was born in Norway. She is the widow of Willis S. Cherry Jr., and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen H. White of Chesapeake; a son, Frank G. Bowden of Norfolk; three sisters, Ellen Crawford of Newport News, Lillian Gallahan of Dallas and Elfreda Hudson of Cobb Island, Md., five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Davis L. Smith Jr. and the Rev. John P. Mason. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
