INMAN - W.L. "Woody" Aber-nathy, 67, of 812 Bryant Road,© Inman, died June 28, 1991, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
A native of Inman, he was the husband of Hazel "Rainey" Bradley Abernathy of the home and son of the late James and Crosby Smith Abernathy. He was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, a retired textile employee and a U.S.
Navy veteran of World War Il.
Also surviving are one daughter, Carolyn Tucker of Spartanburg; one son, James "Jim" Abernathy of Inman; three sisters, Bertie Effler' of Lyman, Edna Bridges and Willie Henderson of Inman; one brother, Alvin Abernathy of Spartanburg; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the Seawright Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Monday at Inman First Baptist Church by Dr. Donald Bishop and the Rev. Skip Snyder. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
