DONALD RAY DOZIER, age 65, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Pineville Communtiy Hospital.
He was the son of the late Lester "Peanut" Dozier and Perna Lions Dozier and was born at Roth, Bell County, Kentucky on July 23, 1942.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dozier; brothers, H.B. Dozier and Zora Dozier; and a sister, Christine Dozier Martin.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Dozier, Straight Creek, Kentucky; sons, Rodney Dozier, Cincinnati, Ohio, Russell Dozier, Salisburg, Maryland and Donald Dozier of Ingram, Kentucky; daughter, Perna Dozier Warren of Straight Creek; brothers, Kenneth Dozier of Arjay, Kentucky, Joe Dozier, Wallsend, Kentucky, Clifford Dozier, Wallsend, Lester Dozier, Jr. of Jessup, Maryland and Jewell Dozier of London, Kentucky; sisters, Marie Mills, Maryland, Ruth Smith, Maryland, Wanda Kinder, Maryland and Faye Lawson of Morristown, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Judy Dozier, Arjay; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home in Pineville, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gary Wagner and Dr. Steven K. Morgan officiating.
Music was provided by Julia Wagner.
Interment was in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville, Kentucky.
Pallbearers were Dallas Dozier, Eric Dozier, Justin Dozier, Jimmy Baker, Bobby Baker and Terry Slusher.
Creech-Durham Funeal Home of Pineville, Kentucky was in charge of the arrangements.
