MRS. A. C. DIXON
Mrs. A. C. Dixon died at her home in Russell, Iowa, on March 3, 1935, at the age of 62 years, 2 months and 12 days.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. E. Beals, assisted by Rev. J. E. Clark, were held at the Methodist church in Russell on Tuesday afternoon, and burial was in the Russell cemetery.
Ada Ann Kells, daughter of E. C. and Margaret Ann Kells, was born December 21, 1873 in Woodson county, Kan. When but two years of age she moved with her parents to Iowa, and her life had since been spent in Russell and vicinity.
She was converted in 1889 and united with the Evangelical church. In 1897 she transferred her membership to the Christian church in Russell. Her life was in keeping with her christian profession and was filled with good deeds. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a splendid neighbor.
On Feb. 16, 1893, she was united in marriage to A. C. Dixon, who survives her. Four children were born to them, all of whom are living. They are Howard R. Dixon, of Joliet, Ill.; Mrs. Hazel A. Bennett, Mrs. Vera L. Clanin and Allen H. Dixon, all of Russell.
Besides her husband and children she also leaves to mourn their loss, four grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Margaret Ann Kells, a brother, Ernest O. Kells, of Russell, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Blue, of Derby. She was preceded in death by her father and by two brothers, Charles A. and Clyde Kells.
