THEY ROCKED THE BOAT
TWO YOUNG MEN MUST ANSWER SERIOUS CHARGE
ACCUSED OF CAUSING DEATH OF BAZE CARTER

A sensational feature has just come to light in connection with the death of Baze Carter in the Pascagoula river by drowning last Sunday.
Two young men - C. Jaunson and W.M. Taylor- have been arrested on the charge of causing Carter's death. We are informed that Carter and these men were in a boat together, and that Carter was unable to swim. In spite of the protests of Carter it is alleged the accused deliberately rocked the boat so as to turn it over, the result of which action was Carter's drowning.

The accused were tried for manslaughter before Justice Walker in beat 5, and were held in $1000 bonds each. They were taken to Scranton by Deputy Sheriff Taylor last night in default of bond.
