Kabe (sic Cabe) S. Berry dies; services at 10 Monday

PRENTISS-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Kabe (sic Cabe) S. Berry, 79, of Jackson, formerly of New Hebron, who died Friday at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.

The Rev. lister Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in New Hebron Cemetery.

Mr. Berry was a retired farmer, and a member of New Hebron Baptist Church. He was a member of a Kabe-Keen Post of the American Legion, serving as a commander for 31 years.

Survivors include four sons, Sexton Berry of Star, James Berry of Jackson, Eual Berry of Panama City, Fla., and Joe Berry of Gulfport; six daughters, Mrs. Percy Armstrong of Jackson, Mrs. Roland Sills of Pearl, Mrs. Roy Cottrell of Wala Wala, Wash., Mrs. Albert Brent of Silver Creek, Mrs. James Thornhill of McComb and Mrs. Quinn Brabham of Denham Springs, La.; 30 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Alonzo Berry of Mendenhall, and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Williams of Mendenhall and Mrs. Janie Lane of New Hebron.
