BRAXTON - Earl S. Berry, 61, died March 28, 1987, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Gum Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Newhebron Cemetery in Newhebron. Colonial Funeral Home in Mendenhall is handling arrangements. Visitation is after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired contractor. He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estelle Marie Berry of Braxton; six daughters, Becky Berry and Linda Yoakum, both of Florida, Dianne Fondren of Eupora, Ann Robertson and Debbie Different, both of Braxton, and Tina Sasser of Richland; three sons, James Berry and David Berry, both of Braxton, and Jerry Staggs of Jackson; six sisters, Pauline Armstrong of Jackson, Louise Brent of Newhebron, Ina Embree of Silverton, Idaho, Virginia Brabhain of Liberty, Esther Thornhill of McComb and Ellen Fills of Pearl; three brothers, Eval Berry of Florida, James Berry of Jackson and Joe Berry of Hazlehurst; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
