Services At Apache Sun. For Mrs. Lesch
Mrs. Rose Lesch was born at Houston, Mo. August 26, 1887; she died at Springfield, Mo. September 14, 1936 at the age of 49 years and 18 days.
She moved to Oklahoma with her parents in 1901 and was united in marriage with E.W. (Dick) Lesch on August 27, 1903. They moved to a farm 13 miles northwest of Apache where they resided until two years ago when the moved to Springfield.
To this union ten children were born, all of whom survive except one son, Elbert, who died January 1, 1933. She leaves to morn her death her husband, E.W. Lesch; her children, Henry Lesch of Manter, Kans.; Bessie, Apache; Florence, principal of Tipton highschool; Mrs. Dorothy Cook, Sedan; Marie and Violet, Oklahoma City; Johnny, Mildred and Jimmy, all of Springfield; also two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and five brothers. Her mother, Mrs. Caroline Stenger, is still living at the age of 82 at Houston, Mo., Her brothers, O.T. and J.W. live at Springfield; F.W. Stenger at Houston and H.E. Stenger at Carnegie. One sister, Mrs. Louise Waltermire lives at Earlton, Kansas.
Mrs. Lesch was united with the Methodist church in 1916 and lived a devoted faithful life until that dreaded disease, typhoid fever, called her home.
Funeral services were held at the Apache Methodist church Sunday afternoon. The profusion of flowers showed the love, respect and high esteem of her many friends.
Due to the serious illness of Mildred, Jimmy and Johnny, who also are stricken with typhoid, they were unable to attend the funeral.
