Elsie was the third of seven children born to Albert L. and Elizabeth Anna (Hoffman) Stout. She married Frederick Grant Cochran in 1911 and they were the parents of two children: Ronald Vern and Edna Pauline.

Elsie Cochran Rites Monday
Mrs. Elsie C. Cochran, 84, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
Last rites will be Monday, April 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in the Glasgow Cemetery.
Elsie C. Cochran was born August 2, 1888 near Wooster. She was the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Hoffman Stout, and was reared and educated in Jefferson County.
She was married to Fred A. Cochran Feb. 23, 1911 near Stockport and they lived the first ten years of their married life in Canada.
In later years they lived on a farm east of Fairfield until they retired and moved to town. The family home is at 511 E. Adams. Mrs. Cochran was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son Ronald, New York City; one daughter, Mrs. Larry Wolfe, Fairfield; four grandchildren, one great-grandson; one brother, John J. Stout, Fairfield.
Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her husband who died Jan. 1, 1966; three brothers and two sisters.
