Mrs. Stych was born October 24, 1916, in Nichols, the daughter of Will and Lola (Metcalf) Oostendorp. She married Harold Yakish on August 30, 1935, he died May 8, 1971. She married George Stych May 10, 1979. He died November 27, 1981. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lone Tree, Alter and Rosary Society and the Red Carpet Club.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Yakish of Austin, Texas, Rick Yakish of Westminister, Colorado and Mike Yakish of Iowa City; two daughters, Annette Clevenger of Davenport and Deanna Krueger of Lone Tree; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Lindle of McCausland; a brother, Bernard Oostendorp of Nichols; several step children and several step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons, and a sister.
