He was president of the Yakish Realty Co. in Davenport. He was a member of St Andrew's Catholic Church, in Blue Grass, and was formerly a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Mark, Gregory, Joseph and John, all at home; one daughter, Colleen, at home; his mother Beulah Stych of Lone Tree; four brothers, Robert and Richard of Lone Tree, James of Solon, and Michael of Iowa City; and two sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Annette) Clevenger of Davenport and Mrs. Richard (Deanna) Kreuger of Lone Tree. : He was preceded in death by his father.
