Daniel Bauer

Daniel Bauer, 70, Loveland, Colo., former resident of Sutton, passed away at his home in Colorado, Tuesday, September 18, 1945, following a lingering illness.

Mr. Bauer is survived by his wife and seventeen children: Fred Bauer of Keddie, Calif.; Mrs. Elizabeth Matlock, Huntington Park, Calif; John Bauer Flagler. Colo.; Mrs. Esther Lebsack, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Ruth Bradford, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Leona Lebsack of Eaton, Colo.; William Bauer, Eaton, Colo.; Albert Bauer, Greeley, Colo.; Pf. Edwin Bauer, Ft. Robinson, Nebr.; Mrs. Martha Keil of .Alamosa, Colo.; Mrs. Lydia Keil, Platville, Colo.; Mrs. Edna Magruder, Louisville, Colo.; Mrs. Lorene Griess, Denver, Cole.; Louise, Florence, Daniel Jr., and Sam at home.

All seventeen children were present at the funeral. Four sisters and four brothers also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday. Burial at Loveland, Colo.

Daniel was born in Helenental, Beresan District, Odessa Province, South Russia on Oct.20, 1874. He came to American with his first wife, Wilhelmina (Minnie) Scmidt.They had three children, Fred Bauer, John Bower (he changed the spelling of his name) and Elizabeth Bauer (McCart). She passed away and later Daniel married Lena Herbster.
