Collins E. R. has been suffering from consumption for a month (HW 15 Feb.1899,5) Died 31 May 1899, "He was the young man who ran the stand on the Bliss and Holbrook corner for a time. He made a brave struggle and managed to support himself and wife" (BN 1 June 1899:8) Funeral was, 2 June (HW 7 June 1899;6) His widow expressed her thanks for help especially to the Modern Woodsmen. (HW 14 June 1899:5) Mrs. Collins and children left on the 18 July 1899, for the home of her father in St. Louis Missouri. (BN 20 July 1899:8)

Well known in Boulder "having formerly conducted a stand at the Andrews corner" 31 May 1899:4) funeral today conducted by the Modern Woodsmen of America. (2 June 99:4) Mrs. Collins and 2 children have gone to visit her father, in St. Louis Missouri (15 July 99:4)
