From page 24 of the Ancestry of Helen Ernestine Albert, Joseph married Josephrinia Sofronia (aka Syfronia) Albert b. 17 AUG 1879, d. 13 FEB 1962 on 14 FEB 1899 (Ionia Cty marriages 1899). But her obituary lists 1898 as the marriage date. From page 81 of the Ancestry of Helen Ernestine Albert, Sophronia was a daughter of Joseph Albert b. 1846, d. 1919 and Catherine Blasen or Blason whose parents came from Prussia. The other children of Joseph and Catherine were Matilda who married Henry Rittersdorf of Keene Twp and Theodore who married Margaret Felyn. These families farmed in Keene Twp close to St. Mary's Miriam Catholic Church.
They raised six children on their Ionia County farm. The following information is obtained form obituaries and the SSDI:
