Funeral services for George Elton Richardson were held Wednesday in the Hawkins Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Burial was in the East Side Cemetery under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home. The Rev Roy Hazleton officiated. Mr. Richardson died in the Northwest Hospital in Fort Worth Tuesday. He was born May 19, 1908 in Bridgeport and was a retired locomotive operator at Gifford-Hill. Survivors include his wife, Mozell of Bridgeport; a son, George Richardson Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Jan Fennell and Mrs. Gladyce Reed, both of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Pete Richardson and L.D. Richardson, both of Paradise, and two sisters, Mrs. Sue Bollinger of Springtown and Mrs. Bertha Davidson of Brownsville. Pallbearers were J. H. Donnally, James Cox, J.T. Boswell, Foy Brown, Joe Richardson and Jack Richardson.
