She married Arthur Atkinson May 14, 1927 at Queen City, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1957.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, an infant son, John Daniel in January of 1946; a brother, Raymond Badger, a sister, Gladys Martinez; three half-brothers and two half sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Atkinson, Queen City, Mo., Robert Atkinson, Davenport, Ia., one daughter, Mrs. Ross (Mary Ann) Anderson, Mt. Pleasant, Ia.; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Queen City Christian Church.
She was raised on a farm west of Queen City, Mo., and had worked for a health care facility in Burlington, Ia. until 1962 when she returned to her home in Queen City.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, 1993 in the Dooley Funeral Home with the Reverend Carey Davison officiating. Music was provided by Pauline Whitlow singing "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" and "In The Garden," accompanied by Julia Mollick, organist.
Bearers were Lloyd Bushnell, Russell Bushnell, Harold Mathes, Carl McBee, Charles Oliver and Loyal Kramer.
Burial was in the Queen City Cemetery.
