Mary Louise "Lea" Landry was the daughter of Louis Landry and Julia Peltier. She married Edmond Euclid Ouellette, son of Eugene Ouellette and Laura Senez, 8 Jan 1905 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph, Cloud County, Kansas. They lived in the Cloud County area of Kansas until about 1913 when they moved to a farm in Cottonwood, Minnesota.

Six children were born to this marriage: Blanche Ouellette, 1906-2009 (Arthur Lang); Joseph Elmer Rene Ouellette, 1908-1968; Raymond Alcid Ouellette, 1910-1960 (Stella McLaughlin); Isadore Rolland Ouellette, 1913-1976 (Elizabeth Welsh); Mary Rose Ouellette 1919-1982; and Leona Doloris Ouellette 1921- 1975.

Obituary

Lea Ouellette a resident of Cottonwood and community for many years, passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on July 26, 1962. Death was due to coronary thrombosis. She was 77 years of age. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Gordon Buckley celebrating requiem High Mass. Mrs. Peter Dandurand presided at the organ assisted by the church choir. Lea Ouellette was born at Clyde, Kansas on November 17, 1884. She was the daughter of Louis and Julia Landry. She was united in marriage to Edmond Ouellette January 8, 1905 at Clyde, Kanasas. Six children were born to this union, Blanche, (Mrs. Arthur Lang), of Los Angeles, California; Elmer at home, Raymond deceased, Isadore of North Hollywood, California and Mary Rose and Leona at home. Besides her children with the exception of Raymond she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alma Irvine of Mankato, Minnesota and Mrs. Homer Guimond of Medford, Minnesota. Also four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents and three brothers and two sisters and as was mentioned her son, Raymond. Pallbearers were as follows: Carl Boedigheimer, Henry Gregoire, Tom Collins, Art Peppersack, Melvin Michelson, Hank Windy. Interment took place in the family plot at St. Clotilde Cemetery in Green Valley. Close relatives from a distance were her sisters, Mrs. Alma Irvine from Mankato; Mrs. Homer Guimond from Medford; Mrs Eva Landry, Maurice Landry and family and Mrs. Oliver Nault of Clyde, Kansas; and two granddaughters from Aurora, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Musich and Mrs. Max Sartain and Mrs. Alphonse Gerald and daughter from Sioux Falls, South Dakota besides a host of friends.
