She was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Mina, the daughter of Jesse and Lona Davis Rater.
She had been employed as a waitress by the former Sherman Diner, by Richard Schofield tying, trimming and picking grapes, as a clerk in the Brookwood Market in Westfield and the Parkview Convenience Store in Mayville, and as a waitress at Reeds Sale Barn in Sherman. She attended the Sherman Community Church.
She enjoyed riding with her husband in the cattle truck, her flower gardens, doing word search books, her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Victor D. Warner of Sherman, whom she married Aug. 11, 1935; three sons: David Warner of Ashville, Daniel Warner of Sherman and Roger Warner of Clymer; a daughter, Eleanor Auge of Sherman; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Camp of Ripley.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra E. Rich, who died Dec. 31, 1998; a brother, Lee D. Rater, who died Dec. 7, 1991; and five sisters: Gladys Warner, who died May 8, 1988, Velma Meeder, who died July 15, 1991, Mabel Taylor, who died Oct. 31, 1991, Nora Greene, who died Sept. 15, 2004, and an infant sister, Gertrude Rater.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Spitzer Funeral Home Sherman. The Rev. Thomas Price, pastor the Sherman Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the fuuneral home.
