Lloyd Aseal Penrod, 94, of Goshen, died April 28, 2002 of causes incident to age.
He was born in Liberty, Utah April 17, 1908 to Oliver Allen and Mary Eliza Knighton Penrod.
He married Babera Taylor Feb. 19, 1930 in the Manti LDS Temple.
They were the parents of four children: Jean, Lloyd, Faye and Oliver. Babera died October 4, 1940.
He married Irma Allen Nov. 8, 1945 in the Manti Temple.
They were the parents of one son, Allen.
Lloyd was active in the LDS church serving in many positions.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed studying the gospel.
He was a farmer and merchant and always grew a wonderful vegetable garden.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters, his first wife Babera, a son Oliver, a daughter Jean, a son-in-law Bernell Aitken, a grandson Jerry Aitken, a great-granddaughter Kimberly Stevens, and great-grandson Dustin Dunn.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Peterson, Provo; Melba Jensen, Goshen; one brother Vern, Ogden; one daughter Faye (Lee) Ryan, Payson; two sons Lloyd (Marie) Elberta; Allen (Barbara), Manti; a daughter-in-law Karma Penrod, Nephi; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Goshen Ward Chapel.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 S. 300 E., Santaquin, and at the church Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment, Goshen City Cemetery.
