Mrs. Heilman was born December 29, 1925, in York County, and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Neiman) Bupp.
She worked for Bernhaven Sewing Factory in Mount Wolf for over 34 years before retiring in 1987. She also worked for PADE in Strinestown. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf. Romaine attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester.
Mrs. Heilman is survived by one daughter, Diane Heilman of York; four sons, Clyde "Ike" Heilman, Jr., Gary Heilman, and Tim Heilman, all of Manchester, and Gerald Heilman of York; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Wilderson of York, Delores Wintermyer of New Oxford, and Phyllis Lauer of York. Romaine was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michele Diane Heilman.
Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens.
