Robert F. Kiger, aged 57 years, a well known farmer, died at his home in Franklin township, four miles south of Waynesburg, Thursday, February 9, after a several weeks' illness due to heart trouble. Mr. Kiger was a son of Hudson and Eliza Zimmerman Kiger, and was born February 28, 1875. He was twice married. His first wife, Arizona Knotts Kiger died in 1905. He is survived by his second wife, Ida and three children, Arthur Kiger, of Oak Forest; Blanche and Mary Kiger, at home, a step-daughter, Mrs. Edna Knight, of Bluff, and a foster son, Richard Zimmerman, at home, and two grandchildren. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Benjamin C. Kiger, Kirkersville, Ohio; Alonzo R. ("Lonnie") Kiger, Taylorsville; Mrs. Kelsey (Ida) Conner, Mrs, Francis (Louise) Fox, Mrs. William (Clara) Hoy and Mrs. Elza (Clemmie) Maple, all of Spraggs, and Mrs. Thomas (Ina Pearl) Cole, of Waynesburg.
