Born Oct. 20, 1898 in Breen Bay, Wis., a son of the late Capt. Charles F. and Mary Jacobson Ahlstrom, he was a Mentor resident for 59 years.
Mr. Ahlstrom was employed as an electrical engineer at Diamond Alkali for 40 years. When he retired in 1964, he was an electrical engineer supervisor.
He was a member of the Mentor United Methodist Church, the Temple Masonic Lodge No. 28, Painesville, for over 50 years, Lake County Historical Society, Burroughs Nature Club in Willoughby and numerous engineering societies.
He was a graduate of the Case School of Applied Science.
