The daughter of James Asbury Rogers and Lula Effanora Needham, Naomi and her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri when she was young.

Naomi married Edwin Henry Dieckhaus on 17 Apr 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri. They were the parents of 1 child before their marriage ended divorced. Naomi and her daughter then lived with her parents.

She underwent fibroid surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in June of 1957. She subsequently suffered a secondary hemorrhage and died 6 days after entering St. Mary's. Naomi was 48 years, 9 month and 16 days old when she passed away.

She was survived by 1 daughter, Joyce Thantham; her father, James Rogers; 1 sister, Helen Reese; 2 brothers, Ralph Rogers and Everett Rogers; and many extended family members.

Naomi was preceded in death by her mother, Lula; and 1 brother, Kenneth.

Visitation was held on 11 Apr 1957 at Shepard Funeral Home on Hamilton in St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. the following afternoon at Kingsland Memorial Presbyterian Church on Page in St. Louis County.

Naomi was buried next to her brother, Kenneth, who died in a drowning accident in 1938.
